HistoryEdit

Prior to 1984, there were no actual PBS stations in Montana. In the Bozeman/Butte DMA, viewers had to have cable in order to view KCRW, the PBS station in Casper/Riverton, WY. In June 1985, KCRW was replcaced by KMSU on Bozeman/Butte cable systems.

KMSU was the only PBS station in Montana until 1986, when KUOM signed on to greet viewers in Missoulia, MT who had translators of KSKP in Spokane until that point in time.
